Lisa’s love of franchising stems from her first official job at 13 years of age at McDonald’s in Thunder Bay, Ontario working for two amazing franchisees. The former milkmen (the door to door type) put all of their finances, as well as their hearts and souls into the first location and, subsequently, 3 others. While their lives dramatically changed, affording them luxuries they would have once never imagined, they also positively changed the lives of every employee who worked for them.
Learning then how to harness the value of systems, collective approaches, and the importance of excellence in customer service - all while having a great time - has impacted her life to this day. Those franchisees were an exceptional example of how taking the leap to take control of your future helps people live the life of their dreams and positively contribute to their community.
